Owl 8 Bee Clay Company is coming to Irvington School for a 10-class clay session designed to inspire kids to create a body of work that is unique to each child. Kids will be introduced to hand-building techniques using earthenware clay and surface embellishment through drawing and painting with colored glazes. They will be encouraged to share their stories, thoughts and interests through the sculptural and functional objects they make. There will be structured projects to help give them direction, but freedom to experiment and take their ideas in any direction they choose. The child is the visionary…. the way they see the world and how they express it is the most important thing. And of course we have a lot of fun!!
