Spring Clay Classes!
Come join the fun in our clay classes at Owl & Bee Clay Company! We have 10-week after school kids clay classes for kids ages 6-12 & Friday morning parent/tots classes for our smallest budding artist! Please see class descriptions below for more information!
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel up to 2 weeks prior to the start of class you will receive a refund minus a $50 deposit. No cancellation refunds within 2 weeks of class start date. You may transfer your registration to another child. Just send us an email and let us know of the change. No transfers once class begins. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment we will notify you 3 days prior to the start date and refund your payment in full.
Tuesday’s, April 2 - June 4, 4:00-5:15
This beginning 10-class clay session is geared towards the child that is newer to clay. This project based class will give our beginners structure for learning clay techniques and processes while also stimulating their creativity! Kids will be introduced to hand-building techniques using earthenware clay and surface embellishment through drawing and painting with colored glazes. They will be encouraged to share their stories, thoughts and interests through the sculptural and functional objects they make. The child is the visionary… the way they see the world and how they express it is the most important thing. And of course we have a lot of fun!! The first 9 classes, kids will be making their art and the 10th and final class will be the artist share where kids will celebrate their body of work with family!!
Friday mornings: April 5- June 7 10:00am - 10:45am
Come play in the clay with your little ones in this hands on clay class for 1 parent and 1 child to enjoy together! Clay is an amazing material for tots to squish, poke & create!! There will be time to explore with clay, as well as opportunities for parent/tot collaborations.
Wednesday’s, April 3 - June 5: 4:00pm-5:15pm
This all level 10-class clay session is designed to inspire kids of all skill levels to create a body of work that is unique to each child. There will be structured projects to help give them direction, but freedom to experiment and take their ideas in any direction they choose. Kids will be introduced to hand-building techniques using earthenware clay and surface embellishment through drawing and painting with colored glazes. They will be encouraged to share their stories, thoughts and interests through the sculptural and functional objects they make. The child is the visionary… the way they see the world and how they express it is the most important thing. And of course we have a lot of fun!!
